Georgian National Museum was established at the end of 2004 and preserving the nation's rich, authentic content of cultural heritage provides learning experiences for everyone. It supports the care and management of the nation's collections, both material and living, to expand and sustain access for current and future generations.

Handbags (maximum size A3) can be brought into the GNM galleries. In case of questionable items, a decision will be made by the authorized personnel.
Visitors should collect their belongings bofere closing hour. In case of forgetting to pick up or loss of the checked items, please notify the authorized personnel immediately.
In case of violating the policies, the GNM is not responsible for the loss or damage of any items.
- Photo Video Capture: Taking photos for personal use without using flash and tripods is allowed in the GNM buildings and permanent exhibition galleries
Photography and video recording are strictly prohibited at temporary exhibitions
Photography for commercial purposes is subject to prior approval by and a written permission issued by the GNM Administration and the Communications Department
Photography and video recording featuring the GNM employees is a subject of prior approval by the GNM Administration.
